Life is a Party, is a St. Louis-based, full-service event production company that specializes in living, giving and celebrating life, one event at a time.
But, what does that really mean?
Put simply, we are your one-stop shop for promoting, planning and producing any event. From Lego-themed kids’ birthday parties with 8 local guests to corporate week-long conferences involving a myriad of moving parts, 2000 attendees, and guest speakers from all over the world, we can help.
But, there are lots of event planners out there. Why, in today’s economy, do you need an event planner? And why should it be us?
In today’s economy, you can’t afford to not have an event planner. Thinking you can do it less expensively yourself is a myth. With more than a decade of event-planning experience, our founder has forged strong relationships with vendors all over the country. These partnerships result in cost-savings for you. Plus, our team will work within your budget. We’ve done small events for as little as $500 and larger events that totaled well over $50,000. This is only one of the ways in which we are different. Here are a few more:
Keetra Thompson is the Visionary, Owner and Creative Event Producer of Life is a Party.
In February 2010, Keetra suffered a massive stroke that affected the entire left side of her body. The months of therapy required to regain her abilities to walk and talk provided her with the opportunity for lots of life reflection. She decided that when she recovered, she would follow her dream.
She always loved planning events (her now school-aged son has the best parties) and using her creative talents, so in May 2010, she founded Life is a Party. Her unique life experience defines the Life is a Party corporate culture and philosophy: tomorrow is not promised, so we should celebrate today.
“As a stroke survivor, I know that life truly is a gift and we should celebrate and enjoy every chance we get. Life is one event after another. Let my company help make those events memorable.” –Keetra Thompson
She is an advocate for living your dreams one day at a time. Her positive attitude in the face of adversity has permitted her to become a motivational speaker. She delights audiences by inviting them to “Jump Into Your Joy” and achieve their dreams.
Keetra believes in being a woman of action and giving back to her community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for her local Chamber of Commerce, President of her son’s Elementary School PTA, HSD Curriculum Advisory Board, HSD Key Communicator and H.E.R.O.S. Program. She has been awarded Volunteer of the Year by the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce (2012), and at Barrington Elementary School (2015). In 2014, she was selected by North County Incorporated as one of the 30 Leaders in their 30’s. Annually she unites a team, Stroke of Genius, to walk in the St. Louis Heart Walk benefiting the American Stroke Association and American Heart Association.
